The Bait Box has been the fisherman’s headquarters for Sanibel and Captiva Islands since 1971. We also carry live and frozen bait, which is caught nightly, so we can guarantee its freshness. The Bait Box first opened its doors in 1971. The current owners, John and Kimberly Munger, are honored to continue the 50-year legacy of Sanibel’s premier fishing supply shop. The Mungers are Sanibel residents. Originally from Fort Lauderdale, they enjoy sport fishing and scuba diving. We have a courteous and knowledgeable staff and are always willing to provide Bait Box customers with everything they need to get the most out of each fishing experience.
